Abstract

What enables digital platform organizations to remain competitive in rapidly changing environments? This study investigates employee perspectives on human capital, organizational agility, and competitive advantage within GoTo’s digital ecosystem. Employing a qualitative design, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) were conducted with employees from diverse functional backgrounds to explore their experiences regarding talent development, workplace adaptability, and organizational resilience. The findings indicate that continuous learning, digital capability enhancement, collaborative culture, and data-driven decision-making are perceived as key drivers of organizational competitiveness. Participants further highlighted that agile work practices and ecosystem-based partnerships support the organization’s ability to navigate uncertainty and sustain performance. The study suggests that human capital should be viewed not merely as an operational resource but as a strategic asset that shapes innovation, resilience, and long-term competitive advantage. The findings extend current discussions on strategic human resource management in digital platform organizations and offer practical implications for managers operating in dynamic business environments.
